Hi, My name is Maria and I am into singing. I have been told by many people that I am a great singer. I really want to have a record label and have cds and record my own songs... I love singing and it's a talent that came to me.
I really need some tips on how to make this dream come true. Should I post Youtube videos of me singing? Will that make it come true?
PLEASE help me, someone, anyone!

First how old are you, and what type of music do you sing.
You should be taking voice lessons, to help you gainn breathing and tone control
Before you say but I am good, even professions have coaches,
** My ex used to do that
You need to learn to read music if you don't already know how.
Next you find open mikes, you find places like senior citizen centers ** unless perhaps you do rap, you do perhaps things for Lions club

Hi, Maria!
Anyone looking for someone to sing for them is going to be looking for the type of singer that's puts a lot of effort into getting the jobs for singing that are advertised and available. Posting things on YouTube would not be a way to show potential employers that you really want a career in singing.
Yes, lessons are necessary and some basic knowledge of music theory would be helpful.
If you would like, I can help you right on this site with some basic music training.
Would you like to write a song that could be your very own? I can show you how to do that as well as have actually music to it that you could really hear on the Internet!
Please let me know.
Thanks!

Hey,
Thank You for the information! Yes, I put a lot of effort into singing and I have recorded myself singing. I would appreciate it if you would help me with some basic music training! I would absolutely love to write a song that could be my own! Please show me how to do so and have music to it that I can hear on the internet!

Hi again, Maria!
Hey, that would be great! :) Please put your question in the WRITING (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/writing/) forum topic area. That's one of the areas that I moderate, and if something goes "Oops!", I can fix it then.
Thanks!

Hello singer:
Good singers are a dime a dozen. However, a good ACT is rare. Get yourself a band and make some records. You can do it ALL on your computer, and you can sell your stuff there too.
You know the band 9 Inch Nails?? That's just one guy sitting at home in front of his computer...

It is how much work you are rwilling to put into it, For example on any given Saturday night, there will be 100's of singers at open mike nights singing for free, dozens of others singing for tips and some making a little bit. All wanting that one break, they sell ( and some give away free) CDs they have made during their shows.
So I guess the questions are.
1. what type of music are you doing
2. have you, or do you take voice and/or music lessons
3. do you play any music instrument
4. what type of songs do you write.

I'm not finding your question, Singer64. Am wondering what happened to it?
Thanks!
