Ashley's basketball coach uses the same five players to start each game. Show how many ways Ashley's coach can arrange the starting lineup, using the counting principle?

Sorry, I'm a little confused concerning the counting principle.
Usually, I'll go by using permutations:
Let's say you have your line up of players. In the first place, you can put any of the 5 players, so five possibilities. The next place is for the remaining four players, so, 4 possibilities and so on. You'll end up with firstly 5, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 possibilities, which make a total of 5x4x3x2x1, or 5! (said five factorial) giving 120 ways.
