Can you please tell me how many times you can attend a court to stop an eviction going ahead?

Need more information on your situation. Are you the landlord or the tenant? Assuming you've already filed with the courts, where is the case right now? Has the eviction been granted? What grounds are you using to ask that the eviction be dismissed?

I am a council tenant, I've received my eviction notice for this coming Wednesday but I've got a court hearing in the morning of which we see a district judge to then decide but I am going to the court with rather a lot of money to give to the council to pay well over half of the arrears off, the problem has been I am in a freelance job and there hasn't been hardly any work for the last few months, I hope this helps

Usually there are only 2 ways of stopping an eviction. 1) the finding by the judge shows that something wasn't followed or is illegal.
2) you have the funds to pay in full and can continue to pay in full.

If you can't pay then you can't stay.

I'm assuming you are in the UK and council housing is something I don't understand that well.

But, if you can't pay your rent on time, I don't know why they would want you to continue being a tenant.

Often if you appear and pay all arrears in full, you will be allowed to stay, if that is the only issue
