Background information on the house, bought it a little over a year ago, during home inspection, was noted that there is no methane vent pipe attached to the toilet. Never had much of a problem with it until the septic backed up. I had it pumped and inspected and the septic is in "great condition" according to the septic guy. It flushed a few times normally after that, but ever since then, when you flush the toilet the bowl just fills up, almost to the rim and eventually sits there slowly draining out of the bowl. Nothing goes down, solids, urine, nothing. We try to bucket trick, but even that takes several attempts to get anything to go down. I read a post by another person describing much of the same thing, except we don't have a water softener. We do have a well though. Every time you use the shower or the kitchen sink there is a bloop bloop sound coming from the toilet and when you finish there is a gurgling sound that comes from the toilet also. I can't imagine it is a plug because when the septic guy emptied the tank, he also blew clear the lines. Is this all because of the missing methane vent pipe or is something else going wrong? Thanks.

The "methane vent pipe" you refer to is venting the bathroom group, (including the toilet) through the lavatory roof vent. This vent sounds like it's got a clog. The first thing I would do is have the vent snaked. If that don't completely get it fixed I would putt the toilet and snake that branch. Let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom
