11 years ago when I was 16 I went to South Carolina to visit my mother for a few months. In that time I got in trouble drinking under age and a trespassing ticket. Needless to say my mother was so furious she sent me back to Idaho without letting me go to court for those charges. She said she went to court for me and paid the fines. Well now, 11 years later, I received paperwork in the mail stated that neither of the two fines had been paid and I have to bench warrants. When I asked my mother about this because nothing has ever been said since she said she paid this, she said she doesn't have receipts for payment. I've also been pulled over a few times and this has never been picked up, and I've never been arrested on these charges. Should I just leave it alone and not pay it since nothing has happened? Or what? If I stay away from South Carolina I should be fine? I would think. I need some answers on what I should do please

Often, esp 11 years ago, most city code violations never got reported into the NCIC system,

But that does not mean they will not latter, more and more old warrants get added to the system daily.

What you do, hire an attorney in that area, let him look at it, make a deal for the fine, you then go there, appear, post bond or pay the fine and get it over with.
