my X girlfriend ays that she has a child for me I'm not disbuting that the kid is mine as she looks just like my other little girl I ave with my current girlfriend. But there's another man saying he is the father and she is refusing to take a dna test to prove I am the father she was etn me see the child up till I asked for the test even thio I told her I was sure she was mine but want to be 100percent as there was another man claiming to be her father before I started a proper relationship with this little girl. I have giving her 100euro and only seen the child 3times I only found out I had this kid in December and started seen her in feb.can I force her to do a atest and give me rights to see my child. I'm afraid that she will say I am not the father if I take her to court and were does that leave me. I'm so confused I have photgraphs of my 2lil girls togeter to prove they look alike and texts from the mother is that enough IS? I live in dublin ireland

Yes - go to court and file for visitation. They will order a DNA test that she cannot refuse.

I just noticed that you are in Ireland. That is how it works in the US. Have you spoken to a solicitor? I would start there.

I am sorry, but I only know the laws in the US. Here, she cannot refuse the DNA test if it is ordered by a court. Here you would have a solid leg to stand on.

If Irish laws are the same as UK laws, they are essentially the same as US laws on this matter.

Sorry - my international law experience is VERY limited and is limited to the application of US law to foreign nationals.

Best of luck and if you have a chance, stop back in and let us know what you find out. Hopefully the regulars here can pass it on next time the question comes up. :)
