What is it toddler pageants?

I myself find it disturbing and find it quite idiotic for a mother to want to spray tan their 7 year old daughter, let alone highlight her hair, instill the thought that winning is the only way to go and much more.

Creepy! Moms are frustrated beauty queens with self -esteem issues. They bankrupt the family and give it all up for this trophy.
How about the pageants where the little girls do these dances and soft strip teases?

.. it makes me wonder, about the judges. Most of the men [and women] are plain out creepy. Isn't there something telling them "I'm judging a 3 year old in high heels, makeup, with big hair and a bikini".
