I am a single mother with 2 children ages 11 and 2. I make 18,00 per year. My fiancé has no dependents and makes 70,000 per year. If we get married will we get a tax return? Will we have to pay in? In Nebraska can we file seperatly and I claim the kids and get the EIC?

As long as your are NOT married, you can file your own return, claim your children, get everything withheld back from the IRS and the state of Nebraska PLUS get the Earned Income Credit and additional Child Tax Credit.
Once you get married and file jointly, you will lose the Earned Income Credit, but still get two $1,000 Child Tax Credits.
How you are taxed should be a very SMALL consideration as to whether you should get married or not In my opinion, but it IS your decision.
