I downloaded a program called Speedbit Accelerator from the internet. It keeps making itself my default search engine and is messing up my tabbed browsing. I removed it through the control panel but it won't go away. Any help?

If you have Internet Explorer, click "Tools",
"Internet Options", and under the General Tab, see who is default Home Page, and change if possible.

You can reset IE defaults
Tools, internet options, adv tab and at bottom, click Reset Defaults
Close IE and restart

So you did uninstall through add remove programs?
And you did reset defaults?
When you say default search engine, what are you referring to?
Your homepage or in the box in the right upper corner?

If XP, have you tried a restore?
I think maybe one of the Many "Jerk sites" may have installed something on your computer.
