I am installing a HArbor Brezze Ceiling fan. I have a independent wall switch for the fan and one for the light. I wired the fan and both fan and light work but I only get one speed (low) on the fan. How can I get the 3 speeds the fan is suppose to have.

Does the fan wall switch have 3 speeds? If so then check the pull chain setting on the fan because that has to be set to the high setting. Remember the pull chain has 3 speed settings in case you didn't use a wall switch so if it is set to the low setting the wall switch will have no override, you will have to set the wall switch to high setting and then pull the fan pull chain until the fan hits high speed, then leave it. Then you can change the speeds on the wall switch back down to med or low and it will change. The key is making sure the pull chain setting is set to high and the only way to do that is make sure the wall switch is set to high first. The pull chain has 4 settings, low, med, fast, off and it repeats itself, so once you find the fan turns itself off 3 more pulls should put it into high speed... Don't leave a lot of chain for anyone to pull by accident because if someone comes along and pulls that chain it will throw everything off especially if they put the switch on the pull into the off position then the wall switch will never turn the fan back on...
Good Luck... Bill

Is it a standard on/off wall switch, or a speed control?
