How much money can be left in a 501(c)(3) account from year to year?

Hello S:
It's not what's in the account that matters. It's whether there was any profit...

Let me see, Catholic Church, Later Day Saints, Lutheran Church, they would be in the millions at the end of their year.
You are totally misunderstanding "not for profit" it is not the amount of money, but how they get the money, and what they do with the money.
Even a non profit, may have taxable income if they have business interest before the money goes to the non profit.
