Hi, someone I work with in an internship is a doctor. He is planning on publishing our results in a journal article. I wanted to know if anyone has published in a journal article here and if they know if those helping the main researcher with the work would be listed as an author in a journal article. Would you list people who helped you on the project as an author?

It depends on the contribution that you made. To be listed as an author you need to have material contribution to the design of the experiment, gathering of data, or analysis and to have been involved in writing the manuscript. There is a fine line between authorship and acknowledgment. If you are unhappy usually academic institutions have someone you can appeal to for redress, perhaps a department chair.
