I haven't had a period since Jan. 15th. I came off taking birth control about 10 months ago after I was on birth control for about 4 years continuously. For the first couple months I didn't get a period but then I started getting a period almost as if I was still on birth control for about 5 months and now I've skipped almost 2 months. I was ill recently with a cold and then sinus infection and conjunctivitis for about 3-4 weeks and was on antibiotics. I was always irregular prior to taking birth control. Since being off birth control my boyfriend and I have used male condoms every time we've had sex and they have never broken. I have taken 4 home pregnancy tests all with negative results. If I where pregnant wouldn't I have had a positive home pregnancy test by now? I'm worried. I went to websites that suggest if I were pregnant I'd be between 9-12 weeks?

I can understand your concern.

When I was on birth control for three years, I lost my period for almost the entire three years, when I stopped (I was on Depo) the shots it took nearly six months for me to have my first period again and then it didn't stop for nearly a year, just off and on.

Know that everyone's body is different and you are using condoms and just getting over an illness and taking antibiotics your body maybe reacting funny to everything that is going on. Visit a doctor with your concerns and get a check up.
