Yes it is very normal.. I didn't loose my virginity until I was 18 and I still wasn't quit ready at the time.. sex is a great thing but can cause stress and drama as well. Do it whenever u feel comfortable..

In fact, sex at this age can be a felony in many, many States - depends on the circumstances, the age of the partner but criminal charges can be filed.

I don't see "do it whenever 'u' feel comfortable" to be sound advice.

Yes, it is normal and it is good because it takes maturity to be involved in a healthy sexual relationship and many fourteen year old's don't have the maturity to do so.

Of course it's normal and admirable.

Don't be in such a hurry to grow up, you have plenty of time to experience everything, and you will, in time.

Go out, have fun, be a kid. Trust me, time flies by so quickly, before you know it you'll be married, with kids, a mortgage, responsibilities.

Fourteen should be fun, worry free. Don't let what others are doing sway you, be an original. Besides, most 14 year olds that say they've had sex are telling tall tales to get attention. Wouldn't you rather get attention because you're doing something great?

:)

Of coarse it's normal!! You should never have sex just because other people your age are. There is always a chance of getting pregnant even with birth control or condums. 14 is a very young age to lose your virginity. I am 18 and still a virgin and so are other people my age and even older. I think it's normal to be a virgin at any age. People don't have to lose their virginity at a certain time.

thank you

You are so welcome.

I think it's great that you're asking these questions, and are willing to listen to the answers. We've all been 14, lived to tell about it. It's hard being a teen, so many things to deal with, so many issues, choices, so many different paths you can take.

Be proud of who you are, you sound like a great teen. Keep asking the questions, live you life, listen to people who are older that know what you're going through. One day you'll be the one giving the answers.

Life is all about learning, exploring, making choices. It's making the right choices that's the hardest part of growing up. :)

Yes it is very normal, usually around the age of 14 girls usually aren't thinking about the option of sex.

Of course its natural for a fourteen year old to be a virgin. They are still children. I have a twelve year old and don't even think of him being anything else.

I thought I was rather old when I lost my virginity as I was 18 and my friends lost theirs from 14-16.
They aren't bad people but they deeply regret having sex at such a young age... these are some of the stories:
One was pregnant at 15, she had the baby and suffered post natal depression for a long time.
Another was pregnant at 16 and decided to abort the pregnancy.
One contracted clamydia (sp?)
None of them have steady partners and have a pretty bad reputation now.
These are all true, I'm glad I waited, my first time was with someone I trusted, the relationship didn't work out after 2 years of being together but I had the maturity to deal with all the emotional baggage by then :)
