Hi,
I have 2 questions:
1) I believe that my 2007 Federal tax forms were lost in the mail as IRS does not acknowledge the receipt of my forms. Can I send my 2007 tax return forms along with the ones for 2008?
2) I am on a F-1 status. My spouse does not reside in the US, but visits me on a B-2 visa. I am not sure about how to file my taxes as I am required to provide either SSN/ITIN and my spouse does not have either of the two. I never applied for one. Any suggestions/leads will be appreciated.

Thanks

IRS does not send any acknowledgment for the tax return. You can ask IRS for transcripts of your 2007 tax return. Read copy of tax return and transcripts, Your U.S. Tax Return: The U.S. Income Tax Topics 1 (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/08/us-income-tax-topics-1.html)
