Hello, I would appreciate if someone will give me their opinion on work chores.I work at the gynae clinic, we have 6 rooms where doctors are seeing the patients. Each room has a nurse in it to assist the doctor in the patients' observation. Each room has the bag of used by the patinets sheets that's needs to be taken out after end of the day.At the moment I am alone working between the 4 rooms as few of my coleagues are on holiday. In another 2 rooms another my coleague is working.. In the end of the day the rest of the staff goes home leaving me alone to take sheets from all the room out. Should I say nothing to my coleague and others and silently take out the sheets and go home or should I rise the question /talk to others to help me to take the sheets out? I just feel lost a bit.. It's not a big deal, the bags are not heavy at all and the job through the day is very easy, and thanks God for that job, but still should I just keep slent till my coleagues comes back form holiday or ask others from the staff to help me to take the sheets out? My manager dislaikes me a bit, because she dislikes me for the reason known only to her.. She sees that nobody helps me but does nothing to help me like asking others to help or helping herself.

Is this happening only while the others are on holiday? What if you didn't do this work? Is it officially your job?

Yes, while others are on holiday I do this job, othervise everyone is responsible to clean her own room and in our rooms are only nurses and doctors. So 4 nurses are on holiday. Doctors don't do this work, they have other things-with patients results, discussing cases etc.

It sounds like it is your responsibiity, and you should not expect a doctor or nurse to help you clean your rooms. Who does it when you go on holiday?

6 exam rooms, and you are responsible for 4 of them right now. The other 2 exam rooms are responsibility of someone like you but she leaves and you clean her two rooms also?

Have you asked her?

Have you asked her?

No, because she is the type of women that avoid doing that.. She is not honest towards her coleagues.. Better to ask her is to nicely and assertively tell her that she should help me, and if I have to be assertive I have to be more angry at someone shouting at me or telling me off than at someone who is not helping me with some tasks.. :(
