As most on here, one of my ceiling fan's speed control switch exploded, linking to the inevitable run to Lowe's only to find out that the standard switch is a no go. Which in turn lead me here, I have tested the wires to see what combinations got me where and here are my results (mind you, w/ the exploded switch I could not tell which wires correspond to what... )

There are four wires Orange, Black, Purple, and Yellow.

Y-O-B = Low
O-B-P = Medium
Y-O-B-P = High
P-Y-O = Off
B-P-Y = Off

The only switch I can find even remotely similar stats on is the Zing Ear a05

Switches available at Ken's Electronics, (Wholesale & Retail Electronic Parts) Kalamazoo, Michigan (http://www.kenselectronics.com/lists/switches.htm)

Now Lowes's also had an eight hole switch, could that be a possibility to get the correct connectivity? I am trying to find the cheapest, most convenient solution, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

Andrew
