I have a 8 year old Bassett Hound that just, in the last couple of days, stopped eating. He sometimes does this during the summer but this is new. He also wants to drink water only and even turned down his favorite treat.
He is an inside/outside dog, more in than out but now he wants to be out most of the time, even at night.
If anyone knows what to do please help.

You never mentioned whether he is still going to the bathroom regularly. Is he lethargic? Restless? Has there been any changes in the household, new family members, new daily routines or work schedules, any losses? There are many things it could be. First you need to try to narrow it down to a possible medical or physical condition, or just a behavioral issue...
