So, my problem is how to arrange my easter dinner.
I was talking to my fiancé awhile back and I said I wanted to have an Easter dinner for our families. We didn't really want to mix the families so we decided to have 2 different ones. I asked when she wanted to have her parents out and she said on Easter which was fine. So, I get ahold of my family and get it all planned out and we were going to have it this Sunday. Just the other day her father had a stroke and will have surgery the Friday of Easter weekend. So, we can't have her dinner then so now she wants to switch or mix them. It kind of creates a problem for me having to switch them around like that, but I also for some reason don't want to mix them just in fear that nobody would get along and I would just have them on both sides of the house anyway. I hate getting stuck in the middle and trying to give both sides attention. It was that way on Superbowl Sunday and people got mad at me for not talking to them more than another person. Too much drama and I hate drama. I want to have hers on a week night but I don't think she wants to. I just want to have hers on a different day and I don't know how to tell her this without making her mad. Any suggestions?

I guess the only solution is to have the whole group together and try to play Mr.Host to everyone and forget about having such a wonderful day for yourself. You could also be the designated drink server and kitchen helper so you can stay busy.

Mix and mingle and hopefully because it is a Sunday you can call it an early night as there is work in the morning.

You might want to suggest to your parents that they try to help you by being sure to include your in laws into any conversation.Moms are good for helping out like that. Tell her you need her in your corner,on the sly of course :)
