Hi there,
I'm not sure what leg I've got to stand on but my partner left myself and my daughter last June and since then he hasn't paid a penny for our daughter. He isn't working and is on jobs seekers. He has debt up to his eyeballs and has never changed his address with anyone so all his court letters and red letters are on my doorstep blacklisting my home. There was a spell of 6 weeks when he had no contact with our daughter due to me getting tired and upset of him having no responsibility for our child. It's a vicious circle and the only reason he got back in touch was because I received a letter from his solicitor trying to resolve the situation on his behalf. Caitlin is quite happy without him she doesn't speak of him or miss him, so what I want to know is an I stop my ex seeing our child on grounds that he doesn't have a job and is doing nothing about finding one.

Yes and no. Have you filed for divorce, custody, support?

If you have done none of those, then there is no visitation agreement or support agreement. So you are somewhat in control. You can stop him. But if there is a court order then you have to adhere to it. If he wants to enforce his rights (and he has them) then he can go to court and do so.
