I've checked the switch and the same thing. Still just a jerk and that's all. Any other suggestions, anyone? Am willing to keep at it until I figure it out. Thanks a Million.

Do you have an Ohm meter?

BTW it makes it easier to understand if you keep all your posts pertaining to the same issue in the same thread.

Okay I'm not sure if this is right you say to keep in same thread. Not sure how but here goes. I tried e-mailing an answer to you via your e-mail address and an automated response came back so no lck there. I don't know what an Ohm meter is. Does anyone anywhere have an idea how to help me with my ceiling fan? Capacitor and switch have been replaced. THe whole sha-bang works in another fan. When put back in original fan it doesn't work. Blades give a jerk and that's all. I've made sure that the switch is pushed all the way to one side or another. Nothing. So if any other ideas than what has been described above please let me know. And if you want to help me about a bit to make this easier for me can you please just e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks.

Are both fans the same model? When it stopped working had anything happened, for example did you remote it and try to reinstall it?
