I'm sure you've seen this type of cartoons of some variant before. A sign clearly warns you not to do something, and you do it anyway, AND WHAM! You get knocked n the head, ran over, or shot. Well, my friends I'm the idiot of the day. Of the hour. Of the week. Why might you ask? I'll tell you why my friends. Because...

We have to clean out our email files today at work. SO I went in to clean my deleted files, AND my sent files. You know we never remember the sent files. So I have emails from like three and four months ago. Stuff about the wedding, jokes, and funny emails from me to Tina, and a video she made of the day I surprised her at work, on camera.

That was December 31st, 2008. January 18th, 2009 she said she wanted to separate. You know the rest of the story. So why am I the idiot of the day? Come on, you know why. You know what I did.

I opened the video and watched it. And looked at how cute we are, and the big smile on her face, and the way she held my hand. And then I run to the bathroom to tear up in private.

Uuurgh, I'm such an .

Ka1- you're not the only one man. If it makes you feel any better to know there are other idiots out there.. this is what I did.

I turned on an old computer I still have, and for about 2 hours I went through old pictures of ex girlfriends, old letters, diaries, love/hate mail, times when I was in college and suicidal, etc... MAN talk about setting myself up for a few depressing hours.

The power cord was unplugged after that and hopefully will not be turned back on for a few more years :) No need to remember the past good times when there are plenty more to make in the near future!

No worries man! I cannot tell you how many times I did things of this nature. I could start a freaking forum on just my idiotic moves that I made.

You are human, nothing to worry about. No shame in anything... it has actually been almost 7 months since my break up, and just the other day I was cleaning out some pics and came across one of the ex and I. I won't lie, it hit me harder than expected, and I did tear up a bit. You just keep plugging away, that is all you can do.
