I am bored so I figured I would throw a random question out there and see who picks it up!
"What song; lyrically, is your favorite? When you hear the words to the song it just feels right. To you it may seem like for some strange reason the song was written about you."
Any response is appreciated.

Fade to black by metalica, mostly, there are a lot of songs that I associate with lyrically but this is the one that's most recurring and I feel I have more in common with :)

Right after my ex left me and my 3 year old son and my daughter still in her crib I heard this song and somehow it gave me inspiration.

"You Are" by Jimmy Wayne
Baby when I look at you
You know it breaks my heart in two
How beautiful you are
I've seen you in a million dreams
Now you're finally here with me
We will never be apart
I want to hold you forever
That's all I'll ever need
[Chorus:]
You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, my reality
I love everything you are
Every time I close my eyes
It hits me so deep inside
How real this feeling is
I'm intoxicated by your touch
It's a sweet, sweet rush
I'm in love with your kiss
You're the one I trust the most
You changed me
[Chorus:]
You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, my reality
I love everything you are
[Chorus:]
You are my love
You are my life
My heart and soul
The truest friend I've ever known
You are my world
All of my dreams
My fantasy, my reality
I love everything you are
Everything, I love everything you are

My husband was a very reserved man but every time we went out he either sang or hummed "You Look Wonderful Tonight," the Cric Clapton version. I play it on my car CD all the time.
He hummed it the first time we met - I have no idea what THAT was all about but it always touched my heart. It's always nice to know the man you love loves you back and thinks you're lookin' good (as he put it).
It isn't something that's played often but I heard it in the Mall some time after he died and froze in my tracks - and smiled!
"It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.
And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."
We go to a party and everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me.
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."
I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you.
It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light,
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight.
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

Cool. I like their other hit: YouTube - Blue October - Into the Ocean (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7Fl2yWalH4) but more for the melody than lyrically.

I don't know what it is about Blue Ocotber but I love all of their songs. I don't find that very often, that an entire album was great. Their Foiled album was awesome, my favorites are
Hate Me
Into the Ocean
18th Floor Balcony (probably my overall fav)
X Amount of Words
Overweight
Congratulations.
You don't see this very often were there are 6 songs out of 12 that are awesome.

U2's
Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you now
You got someone to blame
You say...
One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it
Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's...
Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...
Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head
Did I ask too much
More than a lot
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One... life
One
I think it is so bittersweet: a belief in love even when it doesn't seem to be going well

Kiss - crazy nights. I love the line where Paul Stanley sings "nobody's gonna change me, cause that's who I am".

I love Tim McGraw's ''Don't Take the Girl''. I'm not a huge fan of most of his music, but that one song just makes me want to cry. Also, ''Dust in the Wind'' from Kansas and ''Objects in the Rearview Mirror'' sung by Meatloaf.
Oh and I completely agree Mudweiser - ''Blower's Daughter'' is amazing, as is ''Delicate''.
