Hi am a diabetic and was on birth control for years I stopped taing them 3 months ago... I had been feeling a little off this last 2 weeks and my period is late so I took an home test today (walmart brand) I had a faint line in the area where there should be a plus /minus sign.. the pregnancy test wasn't out ofdate and I didn't do the test wrong should I retest

You'll need to take another test so you can confirm one way or another. Maybe wait several more days and try again if your period still doesn't show up or check with your doctor.

You'll want to know as soon as possible so your doctor or midwife can keep tabs on your levels right from the start. Are your glucose levels well maintained usually?

Congrats! A faint line is still a line.

Unfortunely my sugars aren't very good right now.. been under a lot of stress as of late so I no that my period being absent could be due from stress too.. my last period started feb 23 haven't got it since no signs of it coming either

If the line was a minus sign, then that would mean not pregnant, or at least not picking up the level of hcg needed to be positive.
You're feeling off may indeed be from stress and your sugars being off right now.

Check with your doctor, if need be, and see about getting your levels within range. It obviously would be best to have some good readings for awhile prior to getting pregnant.

See what happens over the next week, if still no period, try another test or see your doctor.
Your periods could still be adjusting after stopping the birth control a few months back as well.

You have probably already been researching the topic, but here is a site that has some good info on it:
