I noticed my BP was up, nothing outrageous. But high enough for concern. Do you know if there is a corralation btwn the two? I started my period today and have had symptoms IE, cramping and back pain oh and a headache. But that is normal. I checked my BP and it was 141/99 but as I relaxed it went down to normal. Don't know if I should go to my Dr. I have also noticed an increase in anxiety before I start. Thanks for any comments, have a good day and God bless,

Your systolic at l4l is not too bad, (considered pre-hypertension)could be lower. l20 is desirable, but your diastolic is high indicating your arteries are under constant pressure. Overweight is not good, but good you recognize that it should be lower to improve your BP. Walking is good to lower BP.

If your BP continues to be constant at l40 systolic, I would go to your doctor and just to be on the safe side, wear a monitor for 24 hours so he can see what is happening.

Yes I think there is a correlation between high BP and uncomfortable symptoms of your period coming.
