Having a problem starting my car up. It does turn on but not over. My dash lights work when I start it. Spark plugs have been replaced, battery, ignition switch and map sensor as well. I noticed it turns on when I accelerate which I shouldn't because its automatic.

I did take it to a place they sell parts in my area and got a print out that it was:

Random Cylinder Misfire Detected


Then it says the possible causes are:

Blocked EGR passage
Valve clearance out of range


I'm going to take it to a shop sometime next week but does anyone have any ideas?

If it "cranks but doesn't start":

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

. Replace the spark plugs (NGK only) with the exact ones that came in the car.

I'm going to try that today and see what happens.
