Hello,
I receive SSDI for most of my income. But, I worked a part-time job in Missouri from January to September 15, 2008. I moved to California September 21, 2008. I worked about a month and a half in California part-time last year 2008.
How should I go about filing a 2-state filing status? Do I need forms from both states? Or, as I was a resident of Missouri most of the year, should I just call the Missouri Dept of Revenue for questions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Teddy Bryant

If you are present in a state, then any income earned during this period, must be reported to the state.

To your resident state, you must report your worldwide income for the year or for the residency period. If you paid taxes to another state, then you will claim credit for those taxes.

Also you should check the filing requirements of each state.
