Hello, My friend has a 01 seqioua she let it sit there for some time "Probably 3 Months" In the driveway. So I was telling her to use it. When she was trying to start it there was nothing it was not cranking, I didn't even hear the starter. I started it 3 months ago and it started. But now its not starting:mad: I am very septical about taking it into the shop but that's not going to work! I just told her to jump started and use it! Please let me know what I can do?! :rolleyes:

Do any other accessories work? Interior or exterior lighting? Horn, etc..
Check all the fuses and check the battery or have someone check it for you. If you are cautious, try charging the battery slowly and try starting the truck again.
Inspect both ends of both battery cables to make certain that they are clean and tight with no signs of corrosion.
If that all checks good, you'll need a voltage drop test at the starter to rule out the harness.
You may need a battery and/or starter.

Agree with CaptainRich. Remove and fully charge/replace the battery. Clean battery terminals and cable connections.

How about jumping it

It's not a good idea to jump a modern-day vehicle--too much risk of damaging the ECM, alternator, or other electrical components. Most auto parts stores will charge batteries for free. Jump starting the car begs the question, "What are you going to do about the battery?"

I agree with txgreasemonkey. If the battery is bad, it needs replaced.
Sensitive electronics can suffer if they get spiked from a jump.
Do this right and have the starting and charging system tested. Fix what ain't right and your truck with provide reliable service and just as importantly, you'll have confidence in your vehicle.

Shenny, see if these suggestions help:

. Purge all air from the system.

. Radiator fan not operating properly--check fuses; Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Switch, not the ECT Sensor; and radiator fan relay. The cooling fan not operating properly is one of the most common reasons engines overheat.

If the coolant is low and/or there's air in the system, the ECT Switch may not turn the radiator fan on.

. Radiator shroud does not seal tightly enough for the fan to draw air through the radiator. This can cause the engine to overheat, while the vehicle is stopped.

. Faulty radiator cap--doesn't maintain proper pressure or one or more valves are bad. Test cap relief pressure with a radiator cap tester (KD 3700 or Stant 12270). On non-expansion tank systems, which are most systems besides Ford's, there are two valves inside the cap that can fail. One allows hot coolant to flow into the overflow tank, the other allows coolant to flow from the overflow tank to the radiator, as the engine cools. If the coolant can't flow back into the engine, there won't be enough coolant and the engine can overheat. It's best to use a high quality, preferably OEM, cap.
