I've seen all of these videos on YouTube and such with music videos with clips of a TV show in them (like a tribute to some TV show and they have a bunch of scenes from them).well, I want to make a music video like that and I have all of my ideas except I don't know how to get the clips from TV shows like they do!

If someone could please explain this to me I'm new to this sort of thing...

Thanks!

I'm sure there are a few different programs that can do this, like Windows Movie Maker. The movies or the TV shows that people have used they likely have taken either from DVDs or downloaded off the internet. They then would select the clips they like, add them to the movie, mute them, and add the music. Instructions for movie maker can be found here (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/create/default.mspx)

I'm not sure what the copyright implications may be for the clips or the song. It might be covered under "fair use", but it might not, you may want to ask about that in the law forum.
