I have had the furnace off and we recently had a huge thunderstorm with hail, etc. A few of my circuit breaker had tripped but the Furnace wasn't one of them. I tried to turn the heater on and the thermostat does say heating. But I never hear the blower turn on. I go up to the attic and sure enough the unit is doesn't seem to power up. Is this a blower problem or another problem? Meaning if your blower doesn't kick on , the furnace never powers up?

First ,you have to be sure all the breakers--fuses --and reset buttons have been checked and reset
If we are to help you we need to know what kind of furnace you have, the name, and model number. Do you have a furnace only ? A heatpump?
Is it electric,, gas,, oil?
Does your thermostat say anything or is it blank/dead?
Try to give us more info,, we would be happy to try and help

Thank you for the help. I have a Goodman Gas Furnace. I will have to climb up in the attic again once my wife gets back to watch my 18month. But I did some trouble shooting a while ago and notice that the 'status' light on the Motherboard is not on. That tells me that it's not getting power. I measured the door switch to make sure it's working and it is properly (open when not pushed and closed when pushed) I see a switch that has 120V label on it, but I can't measure anything on it. I checked that the 120V coming in is alive and it is. I'm afraid my circuit board is toasted again. It has been replaced once already 2yrs into using the unit. It's now on it's 4yr since replacement.

Check the fuse on the circuit board. Should be an automotive type, 3 or 5 amp fuse.

Hi Mark - thanks.. I did look at the fuse. 3A automotive and the circuit board is toast. I had a HVAC technician come out and he said there was power to the unit 120V to 24V, but something on busted that cause the relay to power up the board. Oh well... thanks for all the help. He hasn't charge me yet until he brings the new board.
