Usually, gas valve is located behind the dryer and low, towards the floor. It is connected with dryer with long gas-flex connector. It is little tricky to get to the valve. Pull old dryer away from the wall as much as it goes. Then lay on top and look behind it. Lean low and turn gas valve off. Than take channel locks and disconnect gas flex and unhook dryer vent. Now it is fee to be removed completely. Install new dryer in same fashion - but in reverse order.

Code does require a valve at the dryer but if you don't see it check in the basement .
I Have seen some strange things and very unsafe setups done . Becareful with gas.

If your dryer does not have a shut off on the supply there's a shut off on the meter itself. Good luck, tom

I certainly hope it has gas shut-off valve. If not, then please, install one. You can do it yourself. Just come back and ask on of our Experts for advice.. .
