We had our apt. sprayed today and the smell in disgusting. I was against our apt being sprayed but unfortunately the new owner is too busy with her new baby to take care of business. Anyway I want to get rid of the smell in a non-toxic way and I am desperate to get rid of the smell asap. So far I have tried vinegar and water with no avail and I have just put down baking soda, but I was wondering if there is anything else that might work besides time. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In one word... VENTILATION!! Everything you try will be simply masking the odor. You need to get fresh air in, as much as possible as fast as possible. Most pesticide odors are from the petroleum solvents used to keep the chemicals liquified and they are put in to make it smell because this stuff is POISON. I've been handling it for 20 years and the odor has saved my life on occasion. While you're ventilating your apartment, bypass the landlord and let the exterminator know that you are sensitive to the odor. There are less aromatic insecticides, like we use in hospitals and daycares and schools.
