Shop Manual is a good investment, will save Money and Time.
This is kind of Universal, can't say for your Engine.
Turn off fuel.
Disconnect/Remove Air filter connections, Loosen Intake connections.
The throttle slide that is attached to the carb needs to be unscrewed and free. Disconnect any choke.
With a clear path for removal, remove intake bolts, try to work out carb removing anything in its way.
Don't bend anything(float arm or assembly)
Then before removing idle and air jets, Locate a spot on the carb that aligns with the slot of the flathead screw, then turn in and count half turns(1/2, 1, 1/1/2, 2, 2 1/2)and note the little 1/8th or whatever extra. Then it can be removed, cleaned, turned all the way in, NOT tight, then unscrew in half turns, the extra until it lines up with original reference mark.
Reassemble.
Vacuum gauge can help fine tune if necessary.
