I have a fuse box in my house and I blew a fuse for a circuit that only had bedrooms on it. After checking the bedrooms and finding nothing new plugged in, I replaced the fuse. It popped right away.

After that I put a 20 amp fuse in, and it didn't pop, but the rooms still have no power?

What's going on?

Please Help

The first fuse or two probalby blew due to a short circuit. What happens often is the short clears itself usually by the metal melting away at the location of the short, and the result is an open circuit.

You will need a voltage tester to test for voltage in the circuit, beginning at the fuse and working your way through the circuit, testing at each outlet, junction boxes, etc. looking for voltage, and looking for where it is lost, and that is where the short will be.
