So, about a month and a half ago my ex-gf started contacting me for the first time since we broke up 8 months ago. Previously we lived together for a year and a half before she asked for space and ultimately dumped me. So now we have been dating for awhile and everything was fine until she went out of town for work a couple of weekends ago. I didn't call her for 4 days because she was calling me. So when she gets back on Monday she won't return my calls or texts. I went to her house Monday night and she explained that if I truly loved her I would have called or texted. I really, truly love this girl so this didn't make sense to me, but I told her it would never happen again. The past week she has been super distant, not returning calls again, so I went to her house again. We talked and this time she told me she needs space so I said fine even though that's not what I want. By the way, last time she dumped she told me the same. So Sunday I call to have her help me move my bed from her place back to mine and she said she was going boating with some friends and that she would call later that evening... never called that evening or Monday. So Tuesday I went and got my bed with a friend, left her the key I had and left a note saying, I'm moving on with someone else and that I hope to remain friends. There is a girl that I like who wants to see me but I'm in love with my g/f. She actually responded at 5 a.m. with "Shelby(her dog) and I miss u. U have no idea how much u mean to me. I knew that when u didn't call for 4 days u were in love with someone else. Best of luck." Did I give her an easy out and she was trying to make it seem as if she cares or is this genuine? I felt bad so this morning I asked her to take a walk with me tomorrow and she said okay and that she hopes everything is okay with me. Should I go on this walk or is this setting me up for her to hurt me?
