I have a Medion Akyo P36830 PC and recently installed Xp professional 32bit.
I cannot find the sata drivers on the medion site, so I'm wondering if you can help me to find them?

The only references to a P36830 I could find on Medion's web site were in localized subsites for languages I don't speak or read (Benelux subsites). Suggest you contact Medion customer service via phone or email. If you entered your computer's serial number at Medion's site, what was the result?

Upon entering my s/n I got only vista drivers to download...

If Medion does not provide XP drivers, the options are trying the Vista drivers and hoping for luck or determining the specific motherboard Medion used in the computer and getting the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer.
