The U.S infant mortality rate (# of deaths per 1000 births) can be approximated by the function f(x)=28.46x^-2/3, where x equals 34. What is the infant rate to the nearest whole number?

I know there is a way to do it on a graphing calculator but I don't remember how to do it.

Just plug it in your calculator and round up.

28.46*34^(-2/3)

Make sure you put parentheses around the exponent.
