My wife is an British citizen and I'm an American citizen. She came here on a visa waiver. We are now married and would like to apply for her geen card. We were told by a lawyer that we needed forms: I-130 an EAD card, and the green card application (I-45). I looked up I-45 on the net but couldn't find it. Instead I came across form I-485 which sounds similar to what we needed. Need to know what exact forms I need to file and also the cost of these forms. I would also like to know where to download these forms from.

You need to file I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765, G-325A and I-131 in case she needs to travel before the case is approved.

The key to this is one does not enter on the VWP (or a tourist visa) with the intent to get married and remain in the US. If the plans to marry and remain here are made past the entry (and you better be able to back that up - just in case), then there is no problem with this procedure whatsoever. Consult experienced immigration attorney before filing.
