What to do on unadjusted trial balance

There could be many stages at which a trial balance is taken.
When the postings are complete, the
FIRST stage trial balance can be taken,
This would be at the PRE adjustment phase.
On this you can then proceed on what are known as the BALANCE DAY ADJUSTMENTS.
When you determine these and you post them accordingly , you can then proceed at
The next stage.
This is known as the POST BALANCE DAY ADJUSTMENT trial balance.

For an unadjusted trial balance you list your accounts and add your debits and credits. Your Debits should equal your credits.
