Hello -

I know this is a busy time of year for those who know about taxes - so THANK YOU

I was an international student on an F-1 visa from August 2003 until I completed my Optional Practical Training (OPT) in October 2008.
In Oct. 2008, my F-1 visa changed to a H1B status. I am now a full-time employee with a school district but am considered a non-immigrant worker by the Dept. of Homeland security.

Since 2003, I have declared my taxes each year as a non-resident alien. Am I now considered a resident alien?

If so, which forms do I use for my federal and state returns?

Thank you! :)

In 2008, you will file resident tax return.

So this means I will be no different in filing my taxes than a U.S. citizen?
Do I have to indicate that I am foreign anywhere on the tax returns? Federal or State?

Living in Missouri - Which of the following would I fill out?

For State taxes: MO-1040 or MO-1040A
For Federal taxes: 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ

Thanks again -

Hope you can help again!

Yes, you will file just like U.S. citizens and do not indicate anywhere that your are a foreigner.
