Since March 9th I have had sore throat and sore glands. I have been seen by two different doctors that say everything looks good. Why am I always having this persistent, chronic sore throat and sore glands. Its always on the one side too. Right side of the throat and glands.
Any ideas would be great...

You say you have seen 2 doctors - but maybe it's time for an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist.

I used to have that happen a lot when I was younger. Have you had a cold/flu recently? When it would happen to me, the Ear Nose & Throat doctor determined it was a throat infection. Apparently my sinuses were draining down the back of my throat (unbeknownst to me) and causing the infection. Often the infection would last a 2-3 weeks at a time. Eventually, I ended up having to have my tonsils removed.

The thing is I had my tonsils removed when I was 7 years old, but I have been proned to throat infections and strep and ear infections. So far this winter and year I have not had strep or an ear infection but this chronic sore throat and glands is getting annoying.

Have you been tested for the Epstein Barr Virus? This is the virus that causes mono in teens. I'm not sure what it does to adults. Chronic sore throat and swollen glands are a symptom.

I do not think I have, although when I had a physical at the beginning of the year there was a bit of an elevation but not enough to warrant concern I guess?
Have not had any blood work since Jan...
