My clock on my task bar is off by a few hours... and a few years :S. How do I fix this.. It happens every so often and I don't know what the problem is :(! Do I need a new battery for it or what (lol). I'm what you call a computer newbie. Thanks.

I have the same problem as yours but I never even look for a solution except for keep resetting the date and time.

Good link. Just want to add something else:


Double click on the time
Switch to the "Internet Time" tab
Ensure "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server" is checked


This will automatically update your time periodcally.
