Hi. On the last three oil changes preservice checks have indicated my oil was 1qt low. I did not realize this was an issue until a few days ago my boyfriend said there was some oil on the garage underneath my car; I noticed they had said my oil was low but I never rememebered to ask them or my boyfriend why that was the case. No excuse on my part. There was not much oil on the garage floor (one teaspoon maybe), but of course it alarmed me; this had not been there before to my recollection.

I took it to Walmart this morning; they said that the leak is around the oil pressure sensor and recommended I get a new plug. I am scheduled to see a Nissan servicer in a couple of days but does anyone have an idea if this is the true problem or am I looking at something else?

Thanks.

That is a common source of oil leaks. Oil leaks can be tricky to locate, since most people start looking from below the car. Frequently, the leak is higher up. Clean the area around the oil pressure sending unit and see if you can positively say it's the cause of the problem or not.
