Hello all. I have a quick question.
I live in NJ and took an internship in NYC during the summer last year. The company gave me $3,500 of "Relocation bonus", which were included in my W-2 and taxed. The company also mentioned that it could be tax deductible.
My question is: since I did not "relocate" per se (I was commuting from my home address) can I get some of the taxes back? I guess not, but just wanted to run it by an expert here.
Thanks.
