It has just selected 4-bits colors and the resoluation is set to lowest.

It donot allow me to change these settings. From troubleshooter of Windows, I go to advanced menu but the properties of monitor are diable and screen refresh rate is set to defualt and no other option is there.

Hello sheraz

The system seems unable to 'see' the display requirements, or your hardware is unable to provide or allow the required installation.
What type of display board has been physically installed? Is it also software installed?
If not : do you have the software to do so?

Start, settings, control panel, system icon, hardware tab, device mgr

Under display adapters, what is listed there?

Do you have anything in device mgr that has yellow marks next to it? If so , which items specifically?

In control panel, click on display and go to Settings Tab and then the Adv button at the bottom

-now click the Adapter tab, what is listed there?

What model computer do you have?

If it worked properly in the past, restore the os to that state.

The first part of this response is right, however JAMES and sreenivaspn81, you need to pay attention as the OP stated that they reinstalled Windows, therefore there is NOTHING for them to system restore back to.
