I have been Trying to conceive for about 5 months now & I have almost all the symptoms of being pregnant. My LMP was Jan 26th!! I don't chart, but my boyfriend & I had sex on Feb 9,10, & 11th. We are trying for our first child. I believe that's approx. when I ovulated. Now its March 15th! No sign of AF. I have done 2 HPTs & all were BFN! I went to the dr today and they did a qualitative blood test. I know that they don't really detect the HcG count more yes or no. It was BFN too?? WTH?

I have been nauseuous, bloated, gassy, burping, slight headaches, urinating more than usual, had a clear discharge (tmi?), kind of constipated but then also diareah (sp?), more emotional & my boobs are heavy. They aren't sore, but instead more full & heavy.

For sum reason the doctor told me I could still be pregnant, but just not 7 weeks. He said if it walks like a duck & talks like a duck then... (seriously that's exactly what he said!! ) He prescribed me sum meds for the nausea... but then told me not to take them, because I might be still be pregnant. He didn't even believe the test. Should I?

I'm 22 yrs old & I really want a baby, but I'm so confused. I guess my question is... what did he mean about the baby not being 7 weeks?? I can't remember his words verbatim, but that's the gist of it. My LMP was 7 weeks ago... wouldn't that make me 7 weeks?

Going from your last period, it would make you 7 weeks, but going from a possible fertilization time frame it would make you closer to probably 5 weeks. Or it could be, if you had sex after early Feb. that you became pregnant at a later time then you thought.
See what happens when your period would be due this month. If still no period, either try another home test or ask your doctor about doing a quantitative blood test to check the actual hcg level. For now, just make sure you are on a prenatal or multivitamin with at least 400 mcg of folic acid. Good luck!
