I recently gave my kittens away that my cat had and was wondering if they would remember their brothers, sisters, or me? Did I mess them up emotionally by giving them away? I know I am having a hard time dealing with it and just wanted some input on this. Thanks

I know my adult cats remember. I've heard stories about kitten siblings that were separated and given to different families and then were reunited without any stressful meeting and getting-to-know-you period.

If the kittens went to good homes and they will be happy, that's what is most important.

You haven't done emotional damage to them by finding them good homes. But, as Wondergirl says, they do remember each other. Or, at least, they recognize each other after much time has elapsed. I took in a stray who, about a year later, introduced me to a cat who was either his mother or a litter mate: A female cat that looked an awful lot like him started coming around one summer. They would coo at each other through the window and so I decided to take him outside to see her (he was neutered). He ran right up to her and they began rubbing against each other and then rolling arm in arm in the grass. He was overjoyed to be with her. After several minutes elapsed, he ran over to me and called me to come meet her. She had always been terribly skittish and would never let me get within ten feet of her. Well, since my guy was doing the introductions she was fine. They looked like twins, same very unusual color and markings, etc. I had planned to take her in once she got used to me but after a couple of months of working on her she was hit by a car.

I do hope that this will be your cats last litter. Please, please have her spayed.
