Can you get a divorce overseas if you were married over seas?
Married in Morocco and Ivory Coast and American Embassy to move here with wife so she can become citizen. Want to divorce but we have property in America and Morocco. Heard that America has no jurisdiction over foreign property and would have to go to court here and overseas.
Marriage may be invalid according to Embassy in Ivory Coast and Muslim law, as wife falsified papers on marriage certificate. Divorce proceedings are in affect now in America, but was told to stop as there isn't a marriage to dissolve here in America.
How and what do I do?
