Sin the novel Silas Marner, why does Silas punish Eppie?

Dunsey is always more concerned with immediate rather than far-reaching consequences. What might his consequence be for taking Marner's gold? As he shuts the door behind him, what do you think is in store for him?

How does Squire Cass raise his sons? What are Godfrey and Dunsey like? What are your feelings toward each of them?

Compare the villagers' original opion of Silas to their opinion of him once his money is gone. Use specific imformation from the novel.

What do you think the purpose is for Chapter 6? How do the conversations between townspeople in the Rainbow tavern impact the novel?

Describe the tension between Godfrey and Nancy at the party. Was their tension for the same reasons? Explain the source of tension for each of them.

Do you think Aaron is a good choice for Eppie? How does he feel about her? How does she feel about him? Use quotes from the novel as evidence of their feelings for one another. What kind of life do you foresee for them?

What problems does Molly Faren have? Why did Godfrey marry her? Use details from the novel as support.

Why do you think Gordfrey is so afraid to stand on his own and admit to his mistakes? Use details from the novel as support.

How is Dunsey's reaction to the accident with the horse indicative of his personality? Use support from the novel.

Yep! I agree with Wondergirl and Fr_Chuck! You've asked lots of questions about Silas Marner that should probably also be merged together on one thread.

We do help people with homework on this site. But, the keyword here is "help". We don't directly answer homework questions for students here. If we did, how would that be helping them to learn how to come up with the answers themselves?
