I have a 1956 Sunbeam electric lawnmower which I got last Summer in exchange for my composter. It worked like a charm until just today, it seems to have very little power and so I unplugged it, checked the electric cord, but it wouldn't start again. So, I took the cover off, cleaned out the little dust and grass and then oiled it. It started, but sounds rather weak. I shut it off and it won't start again. So, I guess I'll give it a while and try again. As for worth? I wanted $25 for my composter but took this working lawnmower in barter. Now, in another forum on this site somebody is looking for a motor. Try to find if he needs yours. I'm still hoping mine will go again.

Got mine going again. It was the carbon brushes. I replaced one. Works like a charm all over again! I love this little lawnmower...
